Default charging new h-d factory battery?

Just picked one up, no box or instructions. Any specific requirements or procedures? Can I just hook it up to my battery tender jr and wait for the light to turn green, or should I charge it at a higher rate?

Battery tender jr and wait for the light to turn green (my new one other day took all night..think my Harley charger is 850 ml amp), never charge it at a higher rate. Out of box it will probably start bike but mine was pretty low.

Harley dealer told me the HD batteries are ready to go! Asked about the tender on a new battery and said go for it that it will make the battery last longer! Doesn't matter what time of the year!

My new FB came with the battery tender pigtail already wired in.. If I'm not riding, it's on the tender.

Always hook it up to the tender before starting until it shows a full charge. I've had batteries (between bike and cars) that took a full day for a full charge to a few hours. Either way none have ever been at peak performance off the shelf.

Yes, I would throw it on the tender and allow it to charge it up to fully loaded. I have tenders on everything I own. Work great.

Battery tenders are great for the battery. Mine was on the battery tender all winter, didn't start the bike until recently and it fired right up...Just like a brand new battery, plenty of cranking power. Always keep in on the tender when bike is not being used, winter or summer...
