Default Moisture inside speedo

I have a 2017 FXDLS and I have noticed lately that there is some moisture or condensation behind the speedometer on my bike. I currently live in south mississippi about 5 miles from the beach so I don’t know if humidity is the issue or if there is issue I can’t see or what. I have taken apart the center trim piece between the tanks and visually inspected everything and there doesn’t seem to be any visual issues. Is this something that is common or do I have an issue and I should replace the part ? Thanks

I think this is a common issue. Mine does the same thing. Seems to only happen when there is a large temperature change in a short amount of time. This time of year in Michigan we still have cold nights and warm days. Mine was fogged up all day yesterday.

Mine does the same here in La. No way that I've found to remedy it.

Same here. My speedo was 4 months over the warranty and HD wouldn't take care of it. The vibration is causing the seal to separate just enough to leak.

My 2016 LRS does that too. I hope it doesn't cause problems in the future. It's done it from day one. Sometime down the road I'll likely install new dash/gauges anyway though.

Unfortunately all too common

Option 1 - live with it

Option 2 - replace it - though very doubtful moco will warranty

Option 3 - tear apart, dry out thoroughly - rebuild

mine does the same on a cool day. one way to remove moisture would be if had a sealed container and connect a vacuum pump to dry out the inside.

Yep, mines a 2016 LRS and I notice when sunlight is on the gauges they appear as if it's sweating on the inside, been doing it from new.

Default 2015 Low Rider does the same

I live in SW Florida - mine gets condensation when it's been in the sun for a few hours. Has been doing it since it was new. Dealer says there is nothing they can do.
