My 14 FXDL started doing this after a few months, I had the dealer replace under warranty and it's never happened since, that has been over 3 years ago *knock on wood*

the only thing I can think of that you can do to try and solve this issue is to use silica gel. The kind that comes in some shoe boxes in little bags. You may want to try and open your speedo and place one of those silica gel bags inside to see if it is capable of Absorb any excess humidity or condensation inside the speedo. A window manufacturer once told me they use that gel on the perimeter of double glass windows so condensation doesnt form with temperature difference between the outside and inside of the buiding.

I haven't done this and dont think I will as taking the speedo apart is kinda of risky.

I'm hoping mine will cover it under the extended warranty.
