i have rims from 2000 or a few years before that, that I want to put on my 2007 Street Bob...I was told by several people it cannot be done...Has anyone come across this and if so how can I make it happen?
Just as Kraken replied and Accurately : those bearings are totally different and will NOT fit despite any attempts to retro-fit the bearings and mKE THGE HUB ARRANGEMENTS FIT PROPERLY .
Again...If someone's heart is really set on it, you can do it (knowing all the particulars)...and you do nothing with the hub or bearings. The easiest way is step everything down to 3/4" the right way) and use the existing Tapered roller bearings with separate grease seal.
But Yes, for most people the answer would be "No" because usually if one has to ask, then they aren't the ones to be able to do it.
And please don't tell me that I can't do it
