Progressive shocks WTF????? Update!!!!
When I removed the shock from the bike it actually came apart in two pieces. The top of the shock cartridge was completely separated from the rest of the cartridge. It looks as is someone took a can opener and opened the top of it. From what I can tell the tech at Progressive is most likely correct. Dyna is too heavy to have the 11 inch shocks. If you are going to have them set on the softest ride that will only make matters worse. Apparently they must have been bottoming out, causing the damage to the shock cartridge.
Just a word to the wise, if you have those 11 inch shocks on your Dyna, you may want to stiffen up those shocks before you have the same problem. If you don't and are considering it, then I would go with a taller shock and keep the ride a little stiffer. Just thought you would want to know this information before some of you had the same problems.
