I know this is an older thread, but did you ever figure out a good setup to cool your bike?
Actually yes, I havent built it yet cause my bike has been down anyway, but Im using two 1/8 inch thick steels (from a dodge 46re) to hold two four inch spal fans. They will mount like other kits but be very low profile. Ill be powdercoating the assembly black.
Since i also plan to vent my ac I may also mount the catch can in between.

Sounds good. Post us some pictures when you get it finished please.
I appreciate the advice but Im looking forward to creating my own system.
not to throw a turd in your punch bowl. But, the love
jugs that were cloned from Wards have proven themselves. So, if you really want to do your own...build an equivalent to them. But, itll likely cost you more.

You could be right but so so far I have about 60 bucks into it so I figured Id go for it. If it doesnt work, then Ill at least enjoy trying. I just dont like how bulky the lj or wards are. I forget the exact numbers, but when I was looking for fans, I found that the ones I chose actually flow higher than the jugs. Well see what happens. Either way Ill have fun with it.
I know this is old thread but I built a couple 250cfm fans.
I will mount them to my aluminum glove boxes on both sides.
Im hoping by blowing air down both sides of engine
It will keep temps down in slow traffic.
