I have been running the arlen ness ones for about 500 miles now with your exact set up with no issues. I personally will never go to the solid ones because the additional vibes I feel from the poly bushings is enough as well as how tight everything seems to be with them over the stock rubber.
Got it done. Bushings fit in the holes they were a little lose but didn’t fall out...once torqued to 40ft lbs there is no play or slop.
Biggest pain in my sack was trying to relocate the clutch line to the inside of my frame with the lever still attached....i have forward controls so it was extremely tricky. I’m also not in love with how tight the clutch cable is to the bottom of the bike. I added some extra plastic conduit down there hoping it would prolong melting. There is already thin mesh conduit on the line that i wrapped generic plastic conduit around.
All in all the brake line had to be un-loomed from the plastic loom but not from the metal loom. It seems much happier than the clutch cable side. Plenty of wire in the center to work with....i see no reason as plenty of others have stated, to lengthen those for anything under 13in bars. Mine measure 9 inch’s from tree to top of the bar.
