Was giving thought to selling my Fat Bob; time to get newer. Bike is an '08. My brother lives in Edmonton, a city of 1.3 million about 340 miles away...it's the nearest city to me. He claims the Fat Bob is the ugliest and least popular Dyna ever made and they are a rare sight in Edmonton, so don't expect much for it if I find anyone remotely interested. Is the market that down on this model? Being from a small town so far away, I really don't know for sure...what's the opinion here?
Too funny! I had a 2009 FXDF, and I'd still have it if SuperStorm Sandy hadn't totaled it! The FXDF is (was?) arguabley the best handling Harley ever (the gay twin headlights didn't affect the handling), and I can tell you from personal experience the "softail" version of the 'Bob is a helluva bike, easily on par with the Jap and European naked bikes.
Not a clue about the market in Alberta (although I had an affair with a beautiful blonde Edmonton Lady years ago), so YMMV.
I have a 14 Fat Bob with a few mods. I considered buying a new Fat Bob but I don't like the looks. The bike appears to have a shorter wheel base, Harley reduced the gas tank to 3.5 gallons and that gaudy looking led headlight isn't making it. I would have to agree that the Fat Bob isn't the most popular bike out there and I have never ridden any other Harley to compare handling. I just put a set of Avon Cobra's on the bike and it handles much better than it did with the stock tires. You must remember, this isn't a road race bike, it will handle like a 640 lbs Harley, not a metric sport bike. That being said, I plan on keeping my FB.
Seen a few for sale here in Ontario....it all depends on what you want out of it. Priced right it will sell, too high and your going to sit on it.
like the roadglides some love it, some don’t....me personally I like them, but I own a Superglide & Switchback....
put it a price on it and see if there is any interest....
i don’t buy the adage that there is a rider for every bike....most people who want or wanted a Harley have one....why else is there so many used low mileage bikes out there and for the first time in a long time Harley is offering discounts on their new models....
