Default Throttle Cable Adjustment
I just put new grips on my 2007 low rider when i went to relieve the cable buy screwing the cable adjusters into them self's, the return adjuster is already turned all the way in, is this normal the throttle has good return

No it is not normal. Check the other end of the cable at the throttle body and make sure it is properly seated in its cradle.

What Rusty said...something is not right, both cables should have some play meaning adjustment....

Ok so I checked the throttle body and the cables are in like they should be, is the throttle cable a push pull type meaning if the throttle on is adjusted up to much will that be the cause of the return not having any adjustment ?

Each cable on my 2002 Road King is approximately half way up the adjustment threads which is the way it should be.
Is it possible your cables are the wrong size??

That I am nit sure of I just purchased the bike last week it’s a 2007. thanks for your help I guess it needs looked into

Those cables do stretch over time, I've had to tweak mine every year, still got some wiggle room though. Its possible the previous owner could have wound it up.

Don’t screw around with this...it is a safety issue....go buy two new ones and replace them, that way you will be sure they are correct
