I have a half dozen 50 Cal casings I collected after a range shoot a while back. I'd like to polish them up and use them in whole or part as custom decor, but can't seem to decide on where or how I'll use them.
I was toying with turning 2 of them into rear indicators but sadly I can only use them for non functional purposes.
Do some measuring, but you may be able to stick them onto some bar ends/ grip ends and maybe some axle covers. That'll be just enough to give it a "look" without making it overbearing or gaudy.
I mean just using the part of the casing from the primer neck/rim back.
That's one of those things I'd suggest using just a pinch of, too much and you're riding an Orange County Chopper, but one or two details that you only catch when really looking over the bike? That's what makes it cool to me.
If subtle works, maybe dig up a few more and trim down the primer ends to act as rocker box bolt covers? I'm not sure of the cartridge diameter, tho. Silicone or acrylic caulk would work for removable adhesive.
