I am trying to replace my stock tripple tree with a chrome one. Is the fork tubes 49mm on the 07 Lowrider? Is it considered a "mid glide?" and finally, would a 3 degree rake be too much?
I am finding a hard time finding a chrome tripple tree.
06 - 07 Dynas have 49mm fork tubes. Tripple trees are hard to find. All I found was chromed 3 degree or 5 degree. No stock ones. Hefty price too. $550 - $590.
I am sure they are out there, but the selection is still limited since these are new bikes with 49mm. 39mm chrome tripples are only $199 through HD! STOCK aluminum tripples for the 49mm is $530. So, I will just polish mine for now to match the new chrome lower fork tubes and iadd the 500 bucks into the custom paint.
Just thought I'd pass what little I found out about the newer Dyna front ends...
