Default Streetbob Flames
Been painting flames on the second set of tins I bought this spring... I took replacement tank and fenders to metal and shot 2 coats of primer, followed by 2 coats of black base, and then 2 coats of clear. Sanded everything smooth and masked off and airbrushed the flames in. Next up, a tinted clear (tinting 1oz of black to 8oz of clear) followed by 2 or 3 straight clear coats.

What do ya think?






This is my first ever -down-to-bare-metal- paint job, and my first ever -more than just solid colour- job at that. I'm a little nervous as to how it will turn out, and I've not decided if I'm going to pinstripe it or not yet. But so far, I'm quite happy with the results.
