Has 2200 miles on it, paid $8K. I have ridden for a while, but this is my first Harley. It has mid pegs & a Screaming Eagle exhaust, but is otherwise stock. I really liked the relaxed ride, good torque, and a decent handling/riding bike. It was really an easy bike to ride as long as I did not push it too hard.
That said, I will want to upgrade the shocks & front brake. Looking for improved performance/handling. Would the 412 progressives be a good choice? What about brakes - what are some options?
Congrats on the new bike! How about a pic?
I can't offer much on the mods but I'm sure others will.
Will post a pic as soon as I figure out how to do so on this site.
The bike is silver denim. Would not have been my first choice, but it is growing on me. I really wanted (and still want) the total bobber appearance - all flat black, very little chrome. Will put a passenger seat on & pipe wrap which will start me on that journey.

the most heavenly smooth suspension i have ever ridden is legends. i have their revo a's in the rears and aexo kit in the front. i wish this would have been my very first mod. im not a progressive suspension fan at all but thats neither here nor there.
The best bang for the buck as far as braking is the Arlen Ness Big Brake kit. Bolts right on using the adapter. Throw on a set of EBC or Lyndall pads and the difference will be huge.
As for the shocks, the 412's are the bottom of the line and will be an improvement over stock, but not much. Either go with a better Progressive unit or look into Ricor, Works, or Ohlins. One of the vendors here is Motorcycle Metal and Howard will design a pair of Ohlins to fit your needs and riding style.
