Default Pinging at times
Would putting one colder heat range spark plug in help?
Would it help cut back the pinging when I get on it or help reduce it?
My bike is s 2007 Dyna Low Rider

Need more info on the bike. I.E. whats been done to it, what tuner do you have, who tuned it. If the bike is stock run a higher octane fuel. If already running high octane, don't lug the motor. Drop a gear and i'll probably go away.

Have you tried non-oxy high octane fuel?

My pinging culprit seemed to be carbon buildup, effectively raising the compression ratio. I ended up taking it apart (although I tried colder plugs first, as well as different fuels and less spark advance)... It doesn't ping anymore!

Might be running too lean. A dyno tune may be in order.

Can't aftermarket plug leads disable the Anti knock sensors and lead to pinging? Could be worth a look if they've been fitted.

I suspect Im getting carbon buildup. What are u doing to prevent it from happening again? Seafoam? Octane booster? Mostly 6th gear on the highway.
