fxdx 2000 vs 2002
Had a similar post and hope no one is bothered by this but it's down to these two bikes and I'm picking up a bike tomorrow morning. So stoked!
Any differences to consider between these two model years? Both have very similar mileage. Some people have mentioned the cam bearings and spring/cam tensioners in the 00 are not good but is there anything besides that? How much does it cost to upgrade the cam issues?

The 2000 may have a ball bearing rear outer cam bearing that would need to be replaced with a roller. (Depending on production date)
It may also have a cam position sensor (again depending on production date) that I would delete. It can be a PITA and it's not needed.
Suspension will be the same but the 2002 has bullet turn signals over the larger ones on the 2000. Both have spring tensioners and if the shoes are changed for Cycos are no problem.
I wouldn't leave stock oem shoes in a 1999-2006 Twin Cam for 10 miles. Something that looks good today can break into pieces tomorrow. Both use caged INA inner cam bearings that should be replaced if you're in the cam chest and I would replace the stock plastic breathers that sometimes warp from heat with the newer stamped steel units.
