Has anyone head of this - or is it even technically possible... has anyone installed both controls on a bike - Forward and Mid?
Would there be any reason to do this?
ORIGINAL: htc
I have both and its not even "form over function" issue...
Thanks for the reply - what do you mean with the statement above? The form (or style) is better than the function - or the function and style are both good, or you have both and it's no problem? Do you have any pics?
Yes it can be done the old timers have been doing it for years. I like to do my bike after going to the next swap meet. That way I can get the parts that I should need.
This is definitely something that I am interested in. I'd like to be able to change positions on longer rides and still have the controls in both locations.
What parts would be needed to add mid controls to a 2004 WG?
just mid pegs with forward controls - sure that will work
but mid controls AND forward controls???? sounds a bit wacky to me. lots of customizing of brake and shift levers, somehow would need a 2-into-1 setup on both sides. even if you could figure out the mechanics - in the end it would look a bit funky and the foot area would be pretty crowded????
Well it's something I'm very interested in - so if anyone has any close up pictures, please post them here.
Like SWAY, I wonder what else would be needed other than the mid and forward controls.
Does anyone know another NAME for this - uh... other than "Mid and Forward Controls" a Google search doesn't come up with anything. Thanks again!
I have seen fwd controls, and mid foot pegs. But both did not have the shifter and brake.. only on the fwd controls. Didn't look that bad, just a bit odd. Suppose he did it so that he could have another position, for comfort..
