exhaust paint ?

I have a set of cycle shacks thatI want to paint black , I am going to use briggs and straton high temp on them .

questionI have is how to prep them ..

options.

1 sand, prime, paint
2 prime, paint
3. remove chrome , prime and paint
4. something else

if option 3 how to i remove chrome is it even possible

What I did was

Sand pretty well making sure I got every bit scuffed up

I then washed away all the debris

Dried it completely

Painted

Let dry

Painted again

Let it dry

and Painted it again

Several light coats is the way to go.

Just take your time and enjoy your work

my buddy said briggs and stratton works good but I am open.

I used the Dupont High Temp, you can get it at any auto parts storeit has some ceramic in it.

It came out great!

Did I mention, take your time?

yea you did

and I will , I have like 3 sets of differnt slip ons right know so i can take my time ( I just love the way cycle shacks sound)
