I HAVE A NEW 07 STREET BOB WITH NO PROBLEMS (KNOCK ON WOOD) I VE HAD IT SINCE JAN. AND OF COURSE I VE READ AND NOTICED A FEW THINGS MENTIONED ON THIS SITE BUT 1ST OFF IN MY OPINION THE VIBRATION IN THE DYNA DOESNT BOTHER ME (ITS A HARLEY!!!) 2ND THE WHINING WEVE ALL READ ABOUT IS A LITTLE ANNOYING BUT THATS THE WAY THE BIKE IS! SO JUST BUY A LOUD EXHAUST. AND IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR BIKE THATS WHAT THE WARRENTY IS FOR! HARLEY WILL FIX IT.
Thanks for all the comments. Went to the dealer and took a S.B. for a test ride. I now own an 07 cobalt S.B. I very happy with my new toy. Thanks again for all the help. Pictures to come soon..

I have an 07 Streetbob and have had no problems at all. I break a bike in differently than most. I run dino oil for at least 250-500 miles prefer to go 500, then change over to the oil I intend to use forever. For me its been AMSOIL lately. Then I get back on the bike and take it out for about a good 250 mile ride with stops only for restroom and drinks. I live in Southern Va, so usually thats a trip to like Charlotte, NC and back. I turn that bike up for what its worth at times and run it easy at times also. I havent had any problems with this bike yet and when I have had problems its been before 1000 miles trips on the bike. Others ride their bikes easy going for the first 500 to 1000 and do the 1000 mile oil change. I do all my oil changes , just take it in at 1000 miles to let them do a quick once over for a few minutes. There is nothing really they can do but ride the bike and check the primary for noise. I have a TFI installed so they are forbidden to download any updates into my computer. I tell them that when I take it in ever time. Not to mention leaving a not on the seat taped saying no new downloads please. Bike tuned already. LOL....I get all sorts of comments from the dealer, but as of yet no problems. Its under warranty so if anything does happen its easy to get things fixed. Dont worry about everything you read either. I owend a V-rod last year that had a bad gas odor in the oil after less than 200 miles. Never caused any problems though in the long run.
Just one more thing. If someone wanted infoabout buying a Goldwing by visiting the Goldwing forum, you'd never get one. Complaints reign supreme. You'd think every GL1800 ever made had a zillion problems. It's the same at the BMW boards, driveshafts grenading, lean surge from the EFI, all kinds of problems are reported but you have to look through that.
If you look at the engineering and all of these parts working together, it's actually amazing that it all works time and time again. Car, motorcycle, plane whatever.
that's what i think everytime i get in a plane ...
Congrats Ted ... i'm sure you'll be posting about your mods very soon ![sm=biker2.gif][sm=happy046.gif]
The only problems I have had were self inflicted........but my bike went through the trans recall, and the 25 degree FI upgrade and the battery box bolt recall. I have that stuff done when I go in for any service. No big deal.
