Hundreds of millions of motor vehicles, lawnmowers, internal combustion powered equipment, etc...run just fine with zero problems on plain old pump gas. IMO, there are other things in life MUCH more important than worrying about whether there is some ethanol in your gasoline. This issue doesn't even appear on my radar screen, and definitely not worth the time, added cost, and effort to find ethanol free fuel.

I just don't get it...

Ethanol free all the way. Local station here has 91 no ethanol and that what i put in everything from the bike to the lawnmower to my old beater 90 f150. Engines were designed to run on GAS.

That's a bit of a spin. The first internal combustion engine was built for fuel oil. Gasoline was too volatile; they couldn't control ignition. Gasoline was a waste byproduct.

Today, engines are designed for the fuel specified...whether it be diesel, ethanol (E100), unleaded gasoline (e0-e10), leaded gasoline, E85, nitromethane, kerosene, or even steam.

Politics and economics aside, there are benefits to both E0 gasoline and blends with added ethanol.

Do your own testing. Make a spreadsheet.

Ethanol is just scam.

I always run “blue fuel” or boat fuel as we call it here in Florida in my bike or jet ski

In the summer it probably doesn`t make any difference, but in the winter the moisture in ethanol fuel will cause problems with rust in your fuel tank and your fuel pump.

Like toddskill,, we have 91 octane non-ethanol or known as "Non-Oxygenated" fuel available around here..
I always use Non-Oxy in my bike and other small engines.
Oxygenated fuels will not hurt your bike,, but there is a noted all around performance increase using the Non-Oxy.

Do Harleys run well on such low octane? 90 seems quite low. I thought the minimum was 91. In the uk the lowest we get is 95, albeit with 10% Ethanol. I'd sooner run higher octane with a bit of Ethanol, which I'm pretty sure does no harm whatsoever. Given all our fuel contains ethanol I don't tend to worry about it.
