K&N intake needs breather?

Sorry for a possible obvious answer, but guys running the breather bolts have lots of oil coming out of these? Just looking for something without hoses but don't want a giant mess all the time either.

Seems that the breather bolts don’t cut it and external is the way to go, DK customs has a nice little kit. That’s next on my list to fix this.

I don't follow exactly. DK has breather bolts that vent to atmosphere. Seems they'd vent just as well or better to atmosphere than a catch can or "breather" but that's why I ask.

I think those are for sportsters only, for dynas/big vtwins there’s the filter systems or ones with the can

Nope you’re right, wouldn’t they spray externally opposed to the larger filter? Making me rethink my purchase now honestly. Bolts seem the simpler choice

I've got breather bolts on my Wide Glide. They work fine. Just gotta be sure your engine isn't a puker.

The kicker is if those fit with the K&N filter charger intake that I've got, if not, then I'm stuck to use the external filter arrangement.
