Noticed I'm leaking a little oil under my intake location now, few drops. Using everything that came in my kit, pretty sure it had breather bolts too but not sure. Can someone help me find a solution? Share some ideas of what you have setup if possible, thanks
There are various options for breather kits, start with DK customs.
I ran their intake and breather for about 40,000km. Ended up swapping to a big sucker because I liked the o-rings on the backing plate to breather bolt mounts. Now I just pop the filter off every week or 2 and give it a wipe. There is never enough to drip outside the filter.
Its strange that some bikes puke it out and others drop none.
I'm a big fan of the DK intake and I did vent the breathers externally, but all you might need to do is pull a little oil out of the motor. Start with half a cup and see if it makes a difference. Where is the oil level reading on the dipstick when hot?
I ordered the DIY kit and tools, but mine stays at 2 squares from top, hot or cold. Just does dont ask why, my HD oil cooler jacks that up, at least thats my conclusion for now
More then likely your a little over filled on the oil...but the biggest reason to go to external breathers is it stops all that crap going through your intake and into the motor....
