Can a fuel pump kill a stator?
Couple weeks later, the computer started wiggin' out. Then it started throwing high-voltage codes. Took it in and got the stator replaced
About 5 months after that, the brand new stator died. This time we put a new stator *and* voltage regulator/rectifier on it.
Is it possible the fuel pump is drawing too much constant power and burning the charging system out? That noise makes me wonder...
I have found modern electronic regulators go to a full 16 volts when they go bad.
Old style regulators would just quit.
Check your voltage when running.
other than that I would say no to hurting your pump or vice versa .
