Default 2011 Super Glide Custom

Thinking about trading my wifes 2013 superlow in for this Super Glide. The bikes spotless and already has some nice upgrades like vance and hines slip ons, a tuner, air cleaner, day maker head light, led tails, a little sport windwhield, an oil cooler, and flush mount gas cap and gas gauge and a tach/speedo. Its super clean, like spotless, I haven't seen a dyna this spotless, I was gonna get her a new FXLR but she insists on having a dyna, she thinks the new soft tails low rider sucks. Thoughts? I have a 2017 RGS, I am still kinda new to the Harley world. This bike has a 96 inch engine, is there any thing I should know about the 96 inch engine?

Nope. Solid bike most of the problems are already addressed by the moco. Now all it needs is a rider and to be personalized

thanks! That's good to know. We really like it, I think the asking price is a little high at 12k, but they're giving us over book for our trade in, and its absolutely spotless like new condition. I called today and left the manager a voicemail that if he'd do 11k on it I would take it since I have to lower it, and change the handlebars out right away for the wife. Its worth a shot, but I'm sure he'll say no lol. Ill probably still buy it at 12k.

It's a nice looking bike, a match to the 2009 FXDC my son bought a couple of weeks ago, but they have it way over priced. Out of curiosity I looked on Cycle Trader & found a 2013 FXDC at Lawless HD in Renton with 7400 miles & they're asking $8,680. You might want to check it out, if nothing else to use it as a bargaining chip. It looks real clean with a few less option, but you can buy a lot for 3 grand. I was just curios because it looks identical to the one my son bought,it's a 09 with 8,800 miles SE slip ons, detach windshield, detach HD leather bags, & detach backrest, he bought it for $5,900. It was from a private party, & in late Oct in the midwest so it's not a good time to sell bikes here. Just thought that one was pretty over priced & I hate to see somebody paying too much, I know I don't like to. Good luck with whatever you decide, my son started on a 09 Sporty, but he's 6' 1 & it didn't fit him very well. lol He really wanted a 18 FXBB but it wasn't in his budget right now, I've seen a few of your posts over on the M8 section, I've got a 17 RG also with the S&S 475 & I love, anyway happy shopping hope this might help you out a little.

Ah I didn’t see that, thank you. That one appears to be completey stock. If I picked that one up and added the options this other one has I’d probably be into it for another 1.5-2k. And I wonder what they would give us for our sportster but I’m gonna 3500-4, I was really surprised they offered me 5 grand for the 2013 superlow sportster we have at The dealer I’m working on. I called an made an offer of 11k today on this other one....I dunno what I’m gonna do, 12 seems like a lot. NADA says average retail was 9.5 I believe. Riding season is all but over so I’m not in a hurry. When he calls me Tuesday to tell me no on the 11 offer I’m gonna tell him about the one in Renton and the nada value being 9.5. Thanks for the tip.

I think that bike sold new for around $12,999 when new. Not much more than that.

How much do they want? $12000.00? That is a stupidly high price for a bike 8 yrs old. For contrast I bought a 2012 Switchback in Dec of last yr for $7800.00 out the door. It has around 18k on the clock. And is very clean.

My 2012 was $10500. But it was only 3 yrs old when I bought it. It was mint.

dont go by NADA pricing, no one is paying that....far to many bikes being sold right now, on the FB groups I belong to there are probably 3-4 bikes a day going up for sale. If you look around there are steals to be had

12k is ridiculous

many low mileage dynas with decent upgrades can be had for less. Just do your research and ask the sellers questions

never buy the first bike you see look around!

FWIW, I picked up a 2010 Dyna Super Glide Custom with the same upgrades (minus the windshield) for $5k a few weeks ago.

I don't know if you plan on buying with cash or financing, but I would strongly suggest you look around a bit. $12k is insanely high.

I’m finding that pricing gets a little weird on motorcycles when you start getting into 5+ year old bikes. For example, the silver bike in my sig picture was my friends 2007 superglide, no chrome, just the gray motor, fair condition paint, knock off FXR fairing on it and T bars and someone gave him 10 grand cash for it a month ago. It wasn’t anything that special other than the fairing.I would rather buy something flawless in new condition, which this bike is, and pay a little more for it than buy something that looks used, but I agree 12k is way too high for this bike. I talked to
the dealer today and got them down 1000 bucks plus 500 bucks to spend at the store on parts (it needs a seat and lowered and those terrible handle bars changed).

Im kinda stuck looking for a low rider or a super glide, those 2 models come with mid controls and my wife’s only 5 foot 2. So it’s a must. Low Riders seem to go for a lot in my area, I’ve found several newer ones for around 13 grand but they won’t give me anything for my trade. They’re giving us 5000 for the sportser. So I dunno, what do ya do? I’m still thinking on it. Gonna look around a little more, I’ve looked at a lot of bikes the last couple months. Sure there’s lots of cheaper bikes out there but i keep my stuff looking new, and I won’t buy something that looks like it’s been stored outside.
