My 04 dyna was running great until this afternoon. Gassed up with 87 non ethanol and ran good for 15 miles then ran sluggish and sounded like it was in and off one cylinder. Pulled plugs and rear one was fouled and smelled like gas. Pic below.
any idea where to go from here and what it could be? Thanks in advance. Front looks good rear looks bad
Pull both plugs outta the head, attach cables to plugs and ground the plug ends to the engine. Observe spark. Switch the position of the cables, if one does not spark. Might just need a new coil and spark plug cables.
*********just swapped coil and plug wires and still gas foul on rear plug. *************
what is next step?
Just tried 3 sets of plug wires. Not getting consistent spark front or rear. But only rear getting gas fouled.??? Anyway to test coil and make sure that's the culprit?

Reason: Updated info coil swap
Coil would have been my first guess.
What riding conditions are you doing? Many years ago I had a sporty and it would do that on slow riding conditions, like heavy stop and go traffic I used to carry several plugs with me when I used to go to Myrtle Beach for a night rideand a ride too.
Was only option available. Since it was non ethanol i didn't think it would be that bad. If it was a gas issue wouldn't that affect both plugs/ cylinders?

Swapped coil and plug wires and still rear plug fouling. Tried spraying wd40 around the intake manifold and didn't notice any change in engine idle. Running out of options. Anything else it could be?
