Default Totaled fxdl engine fitting

hey all this is my first post googled my question forever never got a awnser so I’m asking here.
i own a 2007 fxdl was recently totaled has a baker tranny freshly installed it that had less then 50 miles on it before I was hit.
question is will my engine/trans bolt right up to a 2006 dyna since both are 6spd I have cams tuner etc.
on my 96” and was on the road to a 107 build but luck wasn’t on my side unfortunately.
any help would be appreciated buying a 2006 price wise seems smart if doesn’t match I’ll have to figure out something else

thank you!

2006 and 2007 both use the same frame. Part # 47463-06BHP "Frame, 29 degree rake".

Yeah you can do the swap but I'd check with the local DMV about the how to handle the numbers being changed and talk to your insurance agent before you spend money.

Definitely this. The newer bikes are titled by frame, and some states require the numbers on the engine to be part of the title. You'd need the title for the 06 frame, and when you swap everything over, you lose the 07 and now have an 06. There's different rules that vary a lot by state for special constructions and salvage titles, showing receipts, etc. You need to get in touch with the local form of DMV or state troopers office that handles these things.

State of MN tracks the engine number in their system for each motorcycle. You just need to file the paperwork to change the engine for a given bike.

Frame & engine numbers have matched on Harley's since 1970, some states can be bit weird about the mixing and matching the numbers game. Even with all the correct paperwork I've had to jump through some ugly hoops on a couple occasions.
