Whatever you like. I went with T Bars; but it gets down to which feels more comfortable to you.

I just had 16" Apes removed from my FXDLS and replaced with Lucky Dave's San Diego Bars. Hated the Apes. They were uncomfortable, and dulled down the feeling from the front tyre. Now i have much better feeling i can ride with more confidence and push a lot harder.

I have the 10” mini apes with 2” risers. My wrist and arms go numb after 50 miles, but on my sons bike with 6” risers and drag bars I do feel much better. I like the look of T bars that is why I’m leaning towards them.

I’d suggest looking at risers and bars as opposed to tbars. The riser/bar combo lets you fine tune the angle of the bars. I went with 10” risers and 3.5” rise mx type bars. Just another option.

I have T-Bars (Well bars on tall risers) on one bike and apes on the other.

The main difference is the width. Most T-Bars are around 30" where as most apes tend to start around 33"

I have 14" Wild1 Chubby outlaws, these are an awesome compromise, they pit your hands close to where they'd be with T's but have the look and style of Apes (and more width)

8" Risers plus 4" rise bars.

love those assault risers. Too bad they don’t work with gauge mounts I have a set of 6” in chrome collecting dust until I buy another bike 😏

I've had 16" apes, 14" Nash Smart Gimps, and now 13" MX style T Bars. Each move has been an improvement. I'm 6'3" so the height was never an issue. The 16's looked ridiculous and were about 35" wide, I was literally hanging on at highway speeds. The smart gimps looked way better, narrower, and more comfortable. But the T Bars are exponentially more comfortable in my opinion. They come back towards me more at the angle of the forks, so I'm sitting more vertical, height is perfect for me, and the feel of riding is so much better. I feel like I have much more control and can ride much more confidently because they are bolted directly in line with the forks, nothing in between causing any flex. Like others have said about T Bars, risers plus bars is probably the better route so you have some angle adjustment, but typically costs more. I got lucky with my solid T Bars feeling perfect. So far, the T Bars are the best addition I've done on my bike.
