I always look over my shoulder anyway. I mostly watch the mirrors when I'm stopped at a traffic light for oncoming cages.
And to see how pretty I am. LMAO
Well you must love yourself first.... Just wipe your hands before grabbing the throttle....
It's easy, just get the same mounting parts from the right for your left, you'll see, it will fit together easily, I'll try to snap a photo after work or tomorrow...
I reversed my mirrors shortly after purchasing the bike in 2015, I am so used to them now but there is a few weeks of learning and getting used to them. Cheap mod tho and I think it looks great....but still works for me.
Tried the mirror flip on the stock Superglide pullback bars but really hated the location. You gotta try it on your setup and see if you like it. Looks pretty good with the higher bars on freebaggin's setup above. ^ ^ ^
I wanted to flip them on my 2014 FXDB also because I think it looks way cleaner but ran into the same issue. Looks like freebaggin solved the problem. I have T bars and a fairing now though, so I think it would be goofy to switch them at this point.
Also like everyone has said...if you flip them, you may only be able to see your arms in the reflection. My previous bike had low bars so the low mirrors worked perfect, but when they were above, I looked straight at my forearm. Test it first because your height and your bar height will determine whether it can work or not.
I'm at work but I'll look tonight.
Maybe it's the left side for the right side,or was it the right for the left, not sure but I will definitely get a photo tonight and post it here for you but the bottom line is the stock parts will work you just need 2 of the same side. I just went to the dealer and got them, problem like 10 or 12 bucks can't remember...
And you have to have at least the mini apes, we tryed it on my brothers Fat Bob but the mirrors will hit the tank so it won't work unless you have the taller bars.
Step 1: shave the hipster beard
step 2: stop vaping
Step 3: come to the realization that mirrors are meant to look behind you . Not "look cool".
step 4: sell the Harley and buy a Vespa if you still want them flipped
in some configurations with the mirrors on top all I see is arm and shoulder. In that case when flipped I get a clear shot of what's behind me by looking under my big fat arm and shoulder. It aint always about looks.
Further anybody who says they ride a harley and has absolutely no care about looks is a liar...
