As others have said, the mechanical problem is simple but you may not be able to see anything and the tank may get in the way. I used spacers to move mine out and down more to solve both problems. I may put them back on top. Haven't decided yet.
Correct mirrors are to look behind you hence why i flipped them our I just seen my large shoulders. Now I can see behind me. So I got cool and being able to use both mirrors. Good try you might want to put your vaping pen back away.
I flipped my mirrors on my old sportster with 8 tbar. Flipped it back after really testing it(some weeks) and I can say it was the stupidest mod I ever did. It affected my neck, vision and it just looked stupid to look down to see the mirrors. People behind me didnt get why I nodded. Never again.
All you'll need is another one of those little mirror brackets & a nut. You can see I have 2 differrnt nuts ones factory the other a replacement from the Dealer but they are both the same size...basically just 2 parts.
Ive had the mirrors this way for years now, I ride & commute on my Dyna in So Cal and if all I could see was my shoulders and if it restricted my riding in any way, I'd probably be dead already, seriously if you do this to your bike and all you see is shoulder then you'd be pretty stupid to do this, but if you can see well and you spend a week or two taking it easy and getting used to it then wth...some folks just feel a need to bitsh I guess

Clearly this mod works for someone and not for others. Most talk about their personal experience and if others can benefit from that, then whats the problem? Dude, dont take it personal I guess.
