It's all about the money! Always will be as of late...anything and everything to cash in on the public..... Why do you thing they are all trying to make marijuana legal? They could care less about the good, the bad or anything else...it's all about the tax dollars collected.

With that said... here in NY it's almost as bad and if I could leave, I would but the one place I would never consider is California.... that would be jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

My 2 Cents

I know they would probably only go after the obnoxiously loud bikes, but it still is a concern.

It leaves the door open for the authorities to cash in on noisy vehicles. You can appeal it, though, if you get a fine.

Cheap insurance: Get a decibel meter online for about $25.

Cheap decibel meters will not give you usable information. Just to calibrate our microphone was $1200.00 from B&K

I don't think they will do a decibel meter check roadside. If the cop wants to be a dick, he can just write the ticket which forces you to go to the referee. And, if he sees that the muffler does not have a CA emissions label/stamp, that will be noted and the fine will more than likely apply. Just thinking out loud.

This really makes it difficult to live in this state. Bunch of pussies that make this SH#T up.

Florida, Arizona and Texas don't have these stupid laws, do they?

And what if your bike is registered out of state, they cannot give you a ticket?
