Default Anyone have any experince with these?

has anyone used a V-Twin Manufacturing tank i have a dent on mine and the pdr guy wanted $800.00 dollars to pop it and said it would have to be re painted most likely. a new tank from harley pushes $700.00. but i can get a tank from this company for under $300.00 then get it painted with my fairing. the question is how is the quality and how much prep is required to get painted.

If it is made in China leave it there.

An OEM tank can be had from the Bay, why buy anything from Taiwan. Also there are dent removal guys that can fix damn near anything without needing to paint the tank, likely for a lot less then $800. Do some research, you are doing it the hard and expensive way.

Those paint-less dent remover guys can work miracles if you get the right guy. I would check with a few of your local body shops to see who they use and if they recommend them. But I guess the big question is how big is your dent? I've painted a few aftermarket tanks, not bad but they all needed some sort of bodywork first. If you need a tank I would look at ebay first.

Every aftermarket tank or tanks I've dealt with needed a prefitting and some adjustment to sit right and there's always some degree of body work to clean the lines & curves up. Only OEM have been drop on and go.

This guy did an amazing job with a set of original paint tanks I had for my 1970 FLH, never know the dents where there after. $250 for two dents, money well spent. (PS I am not affiliated with them, found them in the AMCA magazine and became a believer in the process)
