Another Exhaust Question ...
I am looking to just do slip-ons ... And leave the stock air cleaner. With this setup ... can I get away without buying a full race tuner? ... A local dealer told me I would just need the stage I ecm upgrade with slip-ons ... Is this correct?
I am thinking of the following ...
SEII's Slip-onsw/ BCT baffles ... (If I can find SEII's!!!!!!!)
CycleShack Slip-ons(Not even sure if they make them for my 07)
Rush Slip-ons (not sure what baffle size)
What do you guys think about the different sounds of these ... pros/cons .... and which ones (if any) can I put on while leaving the stock a/c and just doing a stage I ecm upgrade(If I even need that) with-out going to a full tuner. Thanks in advance for the replys!!!

With just slipons, and stock air cleaner ... would you guys reccomend doing the Stage I ecm download?
Another question ... I found SEII's ... But Im not sure if there the ones I am looking for, for my 07 bob. ... Heres a link ... http://www.surdyke.com/hd/product.as...57&cat=109
If I get the SEII's ... I would go with BCT baffles ... with this particular setup ... would I be ok with just a stage I ecm download with the stock a/c ... or would I need a race tuner because of the baffles?
First.. If ya just want it louder, than just buy the Reinharts and Install them and take it for a ride. See if ya get any popping and check the plugs, most are ok with this, some will pop & or backfire. Then I'd go from there. I'd personally wait and just do it all at once. Exhaust, A/C, SERT, Dyno tune.

I have not heard the rinehart slipons on anything except my dads 97 ultra, which I would guess sound totally different on my bob. I have heard that the seII's with bct baffles sound great. Could anyone please tell me if the seII's that I posted a link with earlier are the right ones for my 07 bob?
Now ... with the seII's and bct baffles ... would anyone reccomend doing the stage I ecm download(not the sert race tuner) but just the stage I dl. Or doing the stage I ecm dl with any slipon(rinehart, cycleshack, seII, rush?)
I just do not want to run lean and hurt the motor, but I belive by just doing a slip-on for sound and leaving the stock a/c ... my a/f ratio should be fine ... any help is much appriciated ... thanks!!

I agree with tourchmaster on this one. I looked al over to find some good slip-ons myself the past two weeks and found the Rush slip-ons had the best sound for the price. I was not looking for a major performance increase so I left the air cleaner alone. I ordered the Rush with the 1.75 baffle and am extremely happy with them! Real deep rich tone and loud when I get on it but not too loud. I found a seller on ebay that has a permanent store that I have ordered from before so I know they were legit. I ordered them on Thursday and received them on Monday. I then went the HD dealership and picked up two new exhaust clamps (I read on this board itâs better to use new clamps) took off the stock mufflers and installed the new Rush mufflers in less than an hour. My bike has no problems with backfire or anything, just sounds like a Harley should now!
The Rush slip-ons come in 5 flavors 1.5 is the quietest, 1.75, 2.0, 2.25 and 2.5 is the loudest.
Here is the link to the ebay place I ordered the Rush from. I got the Slash down style Model #14201 for $199.00 + 29.00 shipping.

You do not need the stage 1downlod or any fuel managment system with the Rush slip-onsas long as they are 2.0 or smaller. I am sure it is the same for other makers. I just know from experience with the Rush. Of courseas long as you leave the air cleaner alone. I did read somewhere on this board that if you go over 2.0 you need the stage 1download from the dealer due to the increased airflow out of the larger mufflers.
Here is a link ot a good video of what the Rush 1.75 sound like.

Good Luck on what ever slip-ons you get!
