I'm not sure where to post this question so I'll do it here. I have an 03 Superglide and would like to install handle bar riser to a stock bike. My question is, do you think there will be enough play in the cables to do this, or will I have to buy new cables? Hate the thought of extra cash going out for a simple modification.
I suppose a simple way to check is to have a mate help you, undo the bars, and see how far up you can lift them before you run out of cable, and wiring.
Not sure on 2003, but I reckon I can use 4" risers on my 2007 FXDC. ( I hope) Will try it soon as my risers get here.
I have read else where on here that 4" will fit.
A few guys here have gone as far as 4 inches without cable changes. You'll probably have to bend the brake line some to make it work.
Like Bobcowan said, don't do pullbacks orit will make your speedo stand up at a bad angle.
