MMH FXDB "Build" Thread
Starting a build on my 2008 FXDB. Got the bike last summer and it was stock:
Unfortunately last October, I laid the Street Bob down: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...-bob-down.html
The damage was minor but would require repainting. In addition, I was looking for an excuse to transform the bike into a club/thug bike with an emphasis on handling.
The bike will be painted as follows: denim black w/ natural gas (blue/white) color ghost flames. The bike will be predominantly black, but not a totally blacked out.
To be continued as progress is made...

- Parts painted denim black w/ Natural Gas (light blue) Ghost Flames: Fenders, tank, fairing, battery cover and fuse block cover
- Parts painted gloss black: Lower sliders, fork brace, (debating about getting rims & hubs powder coated in gloss black too!)
- Parts painted wrinkle black: Engine/Transmission/Primary: mostly wrinkle black (mostly stock) w/ exception of adding the rocker housing & rocker cover
- The tank will be replaced w/ Low RIder tank so I can get tank mounted tach
- Memphis Shades Road Warrior quick detach 1/4 also in denim black w/ ghost flames
- Handlebars: moto/dirt bike style bars w/ approx 6" riser (these will be black)
- Shocks: Rear - 13.5" RWD RS-1 & Front - RaceTech Gold Emulators in the forks
- Engine Mounts: Rear: Sputh Stabilizer, Heim Joint top link Front: Predator mount
- Front Brakes: Dual front brakes (right Low Rider slider), Speed Merchant radial mounts & Tokico brakes
- Drag Specialties fork brace
To be continued as progress is made...

I too like the look of staggered pipes, but will eventually go to a 2 to 1 for the mid range torque (not in this build because of lack of funds).
I'm glad you did not resent me copying your build thread intro. Reading your thread motivated me to start mine!

It my office, in basement w/ walkout. Wife is used to stuff being in house that does not belong:
so, in the scheme of things, a bike is not too bad.
- deer that got frozen thawed out in front of fireplace so it could be butchered
- boar in bear fridge (stay cold for pig roast that was three days off)
so, in the scheme of things, a bike is not too bad.
