Default Cams and Headwork

Regardless, get the head work done. Have you thought about HD 211 cams at all ? They are a good low rpm pulling cam and run well to about 5500. I had them in my Dyna before I put the gear drive S&S 585s in. The 585s are an upper RPM cam and pull hard from about 4000 to 6500. I kind of miss the low end grunt of the 211s. Nothing to loose by looking at the numbers.

With they guy having a 570 and wanting more low/mid, 211s would not be the best choice. They really want 10.5 to 10.8 cr.

Love the 37s. Been running them for 8 years.

Lots of great information and suggestions. After a little more looking at cam choices and all the information you all have supplied I think the TW37 will meet my needs a little better then the 570. One of the things that makes the soft bottom end more noticeable is that I changed the trans output sprocket up 2 teeth to lower the engine speed at highway speed. It still pulls good and I rarely have to downshift to pass unless the speeds drop below 65mph but more grunt would be nice.

Thanks
