Here's the thread, nobody hasposted a responsestill. Tough crowd, or maybe they don't know what size their rotors are.

You guys really think Dyna owners are a different breed from a softail owner? We are all from the same croud, we just own different bikes. If not maybe I should sell my softail and buy a Dyna just so I can be a better person.

I agree, I think Dyna folks are real, down to earth bike lovers.
And if a newby ask's a question, it's just as easy to answer it
as it is to say, "DO A SEARCH".

The archives are there for a reason. Like the old proverb goes, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

Learn to fish, dude.

A lot of questions here are from people wanting information can be looked up very easily. I always try to answer questions that require some thought or experience, like "what could be causing my problem" or "have you ever tried so-and-so", but I'm not going to look up a fact for somebody who's too lazy or inept to do it themselves, and it doesn't matter WHAT they ride.

That may be true, but not all of us are as good on a computer as others. So I'll continue to answer what some might consider to be "dumb" questions instead of telling them to do a search.

LMAO...If you're not good enough on a computer to click on "search" and type in a keyword or two, you probably don't need to be on a motorcycle.

Great attitude.[sm=smiley21.gif] Who's really "too lazy or inept".

Welcome to the jungle.

But just to illustrate my point, go to Google and type in "softail" and "rotor". About 4 results from the top is this: http://www.latus-harley-davidson.com...312-plist.html

It's a link to the catalog for rotors and shows what fits what. Now are you all happy again?

I was never unhappy, I know how to use the search function, how to search Google, and what size my rotor is. And no need to welcome me to anything, I've been on the internet for over 10 years, computers for 14 years. Country music makes me unhappy however.

I agree with everything that ClarkFXDC said. Just cause you've been on here for a year and know all the ins and outs doesn't give you the right or the justification to dump on somebody who doesn't. This site isn't all about searches and information and irritating those that think they own it. It's about contact with others that share your interests and taking part in the discussions. Unfortunately, sometimes, in the course of events, you run into "Captain Super-Poster" that thinks his $hit don't stink! Didn't Ma and Pa teach ya if ya don't have nothing nice ta say----------------------
Hey, I just got done crapin' on a newbie, think I'll go outside and stomp on some kittens-----------------
