I went to ace hardware and got steel wool. It will need to be fine course like 000. This will take all that **** off your pipes and make them shinny.

I put a tarp over my bike and it got to the pipes and there was green tarp **** all over it. These came off real easy. Also you can use the steal wool when the pipes are hot.

It happens with Mids...I have found no way to avoid it. The easiest way to clean them is to get a can of Nevr-Dull. That stuff is available just about everywhere. Takes little to no elbow grease and takes the marks off eveytime. Cannot get any easier.

I have not been able to keep the rubber off the exhaust, but I did find an easy way to clean them.. Use bug/tar remover and a razor Blade. Make sure to keep exhaust area wet and use razor softly. It has always worked on my V&H Big Radius.

I use a copper Chore-Boy scouring pad, works great, it also is good for rust on chrome.

To get off that melted boot crap, use Easy Off oven cleaner and "0000" steel wool. It is just as easy as can be.
