I’m wondering if anyone can tell me if a 07-10 street bob or super glide with forward controls has the same leg reach as an 07 sportster 1200 low with forward controls?
No. It’s atleast 4inches further. I started on a Sportster with mids and then my next bike was an 09 fxd with forwards it was way different. Switched back to mids
I'm 5'8" with 32" inseam. My Low Rider S came with forwards fitted by the previous owner and i couldn't get them off fast enough. It was rideable, but very stretched out, and at high speeds the wind would blow my feet off the pegs. I'm a lot happier now that i have the further forward mids back on.
I'm 5'6". Had forwards on my 2008 XL1200C and had no issues.
On my 2012 FXDC w/forwards, I barely reached the foot pegs with any confidence; changed to mid controls and all is well now.
Probably tough to answer this accurately. Some people have long legs no matter how tall they are. I also suspect that the seat you have on your bike makes a difference here as well.

I added mini floorboards instead of pegs and its way more comfortable now and less chance of feet slipping/blowing off at higher speeds.

This ^. I discovered that different seats place you closer or further back on the bike as well. I went through several seats until I found a Goldilocks that was not only comfortable on the rear, but put my legs and arms in a good position.
5'5", 150lbs, 30 inch inseam. I have the forward controls on my 2009 Low rider and at first it was tough to reach comfortably. The answer for me was to replace the tear drop air cleaner with a round one off a 2016 Street Bob and put the "stirrups" on it....I also took off the short brake pedal and put a longer one on.
