I am looking to upgrade from my 1200 Customer to something a little more comfortable and capable of longer trips.
My current Sport is great for around town and commuting, so I want to stay away from a full bagger.
So why so much dislike for the Switchback?
**** on what others think. If it fits you and has what you desire get it. You are the one that needs to be happy, no one else.
Plus I don't think you'll find anyone that owns one that would say they dislike it. There's some great deals on them out there too. I got my 2012 off of craiglist for 8K with just 4300 miles on it in 2015 and just turned 20K and havent had a problem one.
The Switchback is one of those bikes that are loved by the people who own them. I owned a Road King that was totaled in a flood. The Superglide Custom caught my fancy and I bought one quickly. I’ve since added a Windshield and saddle bags. In hindsight I probably should have bought a Switchback. It’s got floorboards also which are very comfortable. The thing most people found offensive was the stock wheels. If they do not bother you then go for it. It’s a great example of a Dyna.
