I took my stock slip ons off just to see what it sounded like and i knew it would run rough and hot but after i put them back on it idles high and it sounds like there might be a exhaust leak from where the pipes bolt to the jugs. Did i damage the gaskets wiggling the slip ons off and/or throw the mapping off? Ill probably take it in to the dealer because its under warranty still but im curious as to what happened. This is my first harley but not my first motorcycle.

Take it back to a Dealer and fess up to what you did. They might give you a free-bee or they might not. But be prepared to get a nice slap on the wrist!

If i take it to the dealer im playing stupid. Im trying to fix it so i don't have too
How long did you try riding it after ya mucked it up?
Did ya realize it idles to high/sounds like ****, and immediately shut it down?
If it's ridable, run it and see if it straightens itself out. Good luck.

I rode it for just a few hours over the course of one day. Didnt idle high untill after i put the pipes back on. Idle drops back to normal after it idles for about 10 -15 minutes. Thats why i suspect exhaust leak. Im thinking that once it warms up the pipes/gasket expands to plug the leak.
