I know this has been answered somewhere before but......
I was running Night Dragons (which I truly love) where the recommend tp from Pirelli is 38-40 in the front and 43-45 rear.
I have switched this time to American Elite. Dunlop calls for 30 front and 40 rear.
I find that it's a struggle to push the bike at this pressure.
anyone have any experience with this. What do any of you think the tp should be on the American Elites.
(BTW, I might be going back to Night Dragons next time. What a super tire.)
thanks
If the two tires are the same size there's no way to justify an 8-10 psi difference between them. The correct pressure depends more on the load and tire size than anything else. Go with the recommendation in the owner's manual for starters.
Not front and rear, Dunlap and Pirelli. Front and rear are neither the same size nor the same load. What I'm saying is there's no justification for an 8-10 psi difference between e.g. a 100/90-19 Dunlap and a 100/90-19 Pirelli on the front of the same bike.
On my 2005 Super Glide , Manual says 30 Front 36 Rear on OEM Dunlops .. But Pirelli Recommended 36 F 40 R and have done well with these Pressures on the Night Dragons, which plain on staying with unless they happened to be out of stock then would go with Michelin Commander II's which also did well with 36F 40 R .. Can't help you with any Dunlop Tire PSI, as am done with them on my Dyna anyway ..
