SE manual primary chain adjuster problem
About 4 months ago, i installed a screaming eagle manual primary adjuster on my 2015 dyna wide glide.
I have had to re tighten my primary for the second time now, because it keep backing off from my setting.
This last time i checked it, it had an 1 3/4" slack at the top of the chain. I triple checked that everything is tight and the locking tabs are folded over to keep the adjustment locked in place. Nothing has come loose but this keeps happening.
21,000 miles on the bike.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you rotated the chain and checked tension in different spots? I have no experience with these retrofit kits or with the automatic adjusters, but over time the chain can develop "tight" and "loose" spots. My FSM states that chain slack measurement must be checked at the tightest spot, as doing otherwise would result in a too-tight chain. I wonder if it's possible you've randomly done it right, but your follow-up measurement happened to be at a loose spot... I think it would be very rare (unless the chain is new) to get the same measurement at any point of rotation. It's a little bit of a pain to find the tightest and loosest spots, as it's difficult with the primary cover on (but not impossible).
