Default '07 street bob paint issue

So I recently purchased a 07 street bob with only 5300 miles on because I was able to get it for a good deal. The bike had been sitting for years so there is some corrosion starting on the chrome and in other areas as well but that is not the issue I'm trying to fix here. The bike came in the flat bike or denim paint and it looks as if someone tried to wax it. Now there are white streaks throughout the paint and I cannot seem to get it out. I've read a bit about this issue and people were saying to use ammonia based Windex, tried that didn't work. I also saw that people recommended washing well with normal dawn soap, again tried that didn't work at all. so my question to you is there anything I can do to get this back to normal? or is it take it for what it is and paint the tins if I want it gone kinda deal?

As a fellow street bob owner, I'm in to see some suggestions. Mine has some spots, but nothing like this!
I'm about to pull all my tins off and sand/buff it just to see how it turns out. Worst case, I'll shoot it satin again this winter.

I would try using a steam cleaner; it won't hurt anything and it might actually work. Some of them come with little cloth pads but you could also just shoot the stream of steam through a normal microfiber cloth. The steam should break down the wax and melt it, allowing the cloth to absorb it and pull it away from the surface. I used steam plus a wooden or bamboo skewer to pick away at the all the wax that was in between the lettering on my tank badge when I first got it.

Failing that, I've used a product called Sure Wipe on my normal paint fenders before. It's supposed to be the last product you use before painting so it gets off all wax, grease and oils to prep for paint - or in my case to prep for paint correction and buffing. I have no idea how the denim paint would react to this since I have no experience with it so it's just an idea not a suggestion I guess.

Have you tried wax remover? May want to try it on an inconspicuous area before doing the whole bike.

Want ever you do, make sure you are not in the sun and the bike is cool.
