Default RE: Stage 1 Upgrades for 2007 Super Glide

I got me a (vivid Black)FXDC (common theme here) and have purchased 3909K&N A/C that will go on when I have finalised negotiations with online selling shop for price on Python 2:1 and Thundermax Autotune and have them in my hot little hand. I have some other gear to pretty it up (not that this magnificent machine needed any prettying) that will go on when the move back to my home town is complete and my wife and 12 week old are settled in to our new house.....

Apart from all that, not much happening around here!!!!

I am looking at the Cobra "Speedster Slashdown" exhaust system and Cobra FI2000R CL (Closed Loop) fuel management system for my 2007 Super Glide Custom. Can anyone tell me of their experience with this combination?

Thanks, Richard

I just had my bike tuned on the dyno with a Screamin Eagle Race tuner,Black Thunderheader, the best looking IMO, and open Screaming Eagle Air cleaner 80.6 HP 93lbs TQ. This is an otherwise stock twin cam 88, the dyno operator said I might get a couple more HP running a cover over my air cleaner. The same set up with no adjustment at all to the FI made 79 HP and 80 something lbs of torque but ran dangerously hot.You could feel engine heat from 5-6 feet away.Prior to that I rode for about a year with a Revtech DFO and the same set up. I hated it it constantly backfired on decel and ran hot enough to burn a hole in my pantleg.

You need to update your picture of the WG so I can see what mine will look like!

I have an '07 Street Bob with V&H Big Shots, SE air kit and V&H Fuelpak. I installed it all myself with no serious trouble. It took a couple of calls to V&H and some posts here to get the Fuelpak dialed in but I am very happy with the results. I installed this with about 700 miles on the bike. As far as the waranty, as long as you dont mess something up with the installation, I don't see how how they can void it.
