I went to the mountains two weeks ago and noticed that I had a power loss under stress, especially when I was behind cars going up steep inclines. I did not have any backfiring going on as I changed carburetors a few months back as it was decel popping like crazy. Put new carb on and bike was more like normal, or so I thought.
Then my trip made me think otherwise.

Now that I have replaced all bike is way better than it has ever been! Now thinking going a step further and replacing the stock ignition module with an after market one.

Have you solved your issues JVR?
I ordered a new module, got it in and will install it this week..

I did figure out one thing, my tach was working on and off again, well once I replaced the coil it has been working ever since. So tach issues, check or replace the coil.

No. I notice this the other day. It seems to happen when the throttle is maintain speed and the throttle is turned just a small amount. Maybe a 1/4 inch.
