pitted rear wheel
less thana year old and 7600 miles my rear wheel is pitted [&:]
I plan to ask HD for a new wheel. These alum wheels must be made of crap [:@]

Keith, I use "Blue Magic" on my wheels and rocker covers. It is a mild aluminum polish that leaves a thin layer of silicon. When I go for my first tire change I will either
a) Powdercoat clear on them
b) Powdercoat them gloss black
Then they will be easy to clean and keep clean. Alinco (if it's spelled right) sells an aluminum clrear spray in a rattle can to protect it. I am having more of a problem with my cylender fins and rocker covers. I have thought about using the same silver in a engine enamel to coat the edge of the machined fins (will give the motor the old time look of cast cylender casings as well) because I am tired of rubbing rouge to get rid of the corrosion on the fins.
