brake light problem

brake light problem
i have a 2009 fxdf . when i turn the key to accessories and i depress either the front or rear brake pedal the headlight and the rear brake light come on.also fuel pump primes up, when i turn the key to on position i have headlight high and low operation, and turn signals are fine. but no rear brakelight i have replaced the rear brake light switch the rear brake lamp circut board, still having same problem , have checked the grounds under battery box ground 1 and 2 i have good ground. can anyone help me figure out what is going on please?

Are you saying the fuel pump runs when you apply the brake?
When several seemingly unrelated circuits interact, the grounds are the first place to look, Where is your fuel pump ground? Headlight? Brake light?
Do your self a favor and edit your other post into an "oops, sorry" before someone jumps all over you...

i thought that all the grounds went to the grounding block under the battery compartment. yes im saying the fuel pump primes up when brake is engaged front or rear when in accessory. im not sure of any other grounds . i havent been able to find any,

Just got the bike? If yes, looks like the person before you messed up with the wiring... smells fishy. If not, no clue, just need to go trough the wiring anyways I guess. Sorry 😐

The entire frame is ground. Just like most cars. Pretty much any small diameter black wire is a ground, whether or not it terminates near the battery.
Some ground wires have colored and/or striped insulation. Refer to the service manual wiring schematics.
