Got DOT5 in my 05 Dyna and no one opens the Fill Caps but me .. Flushed it when first got it 3 Years ago thinking about doing it again this winter when get a cold spell up here in North FL which contrary to what some might think, North FL does get cold.. Seen it in the teens now and then .. But below 30 is cold enough for me to do some Bike Work and stay home ..
I agree with hands off. Im slowly hitting on everything so Im knowing exactly whats in every hole..? lol Anyway, I checked the brake reservoir that I had just refilled yesterday, and all was mixed with NO separation issues. It blended perfectly and was all good. I got the wife to do the squeezing on brake so I could go through 2 full reservoirs to flush anyway, clean a tiny bit of sediment at reservoir bottom, and fill to correct level. I captured the drainage in a clear container, and it barely looked murky. So, Ive got great brake pressure and confident its all correct. I appreciate everyones sharing thoughts and experience !
Never ever bleed out a master that way. Even on a two year old system, it is going to have corrosion near end of cylinder. When you break bleeder at caliper and pull the brake lever or push the pedal, you push the rubber brake cup seal piston into the corrosive. It will probably work but I bet its leaking by.
Keep a eye open on it. I would put a medium amount of pressure on it and hold it for about a minute to make sure pedal or lever does not keep moving.
When you vacuum it, only about 5-8 lbs vacuum. It's very easy to pull air in from outside since a cup seal works with tremendous pressure one way only. Easy to pull air under it the other way.

When she squeezes, I open valve and it drains a little. The handle pulls to grip gently/quickly, and she held it there . I closed valve and then said to release handle. We did this for the 2 reservoirs to drain. The front brakes feel better than ever and fluid is correct type and level. Am I missing something ? Several people, as well as video, performed it this way for simple flush.. In a couple weeks my mechanic will put on new pads and completely clean out system.. Thanks
