I'm pretty sure there is no case boring requirement.
I havethe necessarymechanical apptitude. Just a little gun shy with no experience inMAJOR v-twin engine overhauling.
The stealership says 12 hours @ $80 and hour. I say...uhhhhh.....I don't think so.
Any advice? Instructions? Are there any resources such as installation guides or ?
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mike
If you don't have the service manual, get it. It explains in full detail how to do the top end overhall and cams if you are doing those as well. Not hard, but time consuming. You will need some specialty tool such as a ring compressor and other misc. tools. The book even gives you the part numbers of the tools you will need. DEFINITELY do-able if you have mechanical ability. Go for it. There is only one way to gain experience! Gonna do the Stage 2 for my 06 Bob when I hit 40K. Over half way there! Good luck!
I have the service manual. I have glanced over the top end overhaul section. It doesnt seem to difficult. Should I change to adjustable pushrods? What about the geardrive setup? Is it worth it?
