I have been looking through forums looking for information on others top speeds and how they dealt with the wobble. But I have only found people talking that they've been only up to 115 mph (they say it's the governor). The only problem I've been running into is that I've been able to get up to 145mph then once around 150mph I begin to get a little bit of a wobble. I was seeing if there is anyone else pushing those limits and able to stabilize the bike in the higher 100s. Any information/advice/parts recommendations are appreciated. I have a 2008 Dyna Streetbob FXDB, stage 4 103", screamin' eagle performance chip with a dyno tune, drag specialities adjustable rear shocks, wide rear tire kit. I haven't hit the speed govenor yet also I have a digital speedometer.
I have a Dyna and I think with wobble you have to start with :tires, then wheel bearings, then neck bearings, then the engine mounts, then swingarm mounts, then add a Tru Track Stabilizer etc.it gets progressive and how much do you want to spend.
This is just from what I have read up on, I am at step 1 the tires. I will do all the affordable stuff first then check for improvement etc. I know for a fact I need tires, I will at some point adjust handlebar "fall away" etc
Drove my former bike (Fatbob 125hp/180nm) to 136mph in Germany. Was a Little Rock and Roll at those speeds. Even with the Pirelli Night Dragon tires. Sputhe system back and front. Hyperpro springs in de front and Hyperpro custom shocks in the rear. Later I saw that the tires had a 130mph speedlimit indication on them. But I tried it ones and decided that Harleys are not made for these speeds.
I'd like to know if anyone else can get a Street Bob up to those speeds???
I seriously doubt it.
If the OP is just "starting" to get a wobble at 150 and the only suspension work that was done is Drag Specialty shocks, I think there is a huge credibility gap going on.
My bike will tach out about 145 so 150 is unattainium. I also had the dreaded head shake but mine started about 90. Had to change the neck bearings to make it stiffer...Still have a roll bag mounted on the handlebars as a wind deflector to help the wobble.
Since you get yours up to 150, I suggest you grab the grips with less pressure at that speed and see if that helps.
Let us know if that works.
BTW only the the newer bikes are speed limited and your 2008 will not be.

Now for a new member's first post to state their wobble doesn't show up until past 145-150mph you're gonna have to expect some members to be, well, a little skeptical!
There is a wealth of information on these pages discussing ad nauseam the issue of wobbling/handling and the myriad of ways members have tried to solve the problem, most with no success like you have achieved when all along the problem has been staring us in the face!
What's the part number of that digital speedometer?
***This just occurred to me, being that it is a digital speedo, maybe it has a setting so it can be used internationally, for both mph and kph, maybe it's set on kph

I would expect a 2008 FXDB 103 to shake apart at 125 MPG. Am I missing something here?
