Default 2002 Dyna Superglide Primary Fluid Level

So after 40 years of Japanese bikes I’ve got my first Harley so I’m new to all these fluid changes.
The oil and transmission fluid changes went fine. I changed the primary fluid, carefully adding the 26 ounces the service manual calls for.
According to both the manual and every YouTube video I’ve watched, the primary fluid level should be at the bottom of the clutch diaphragm spring. After adding the 26 ounces it wasn’t to that level. I added the rest of the quart but it still isn’t to the bottom of the clutch diaphragm spring
I checked the level after a ride and it was still low. Should I add more fluid even though I’ve put in 32 ounces?
Thanks

Welcome to the forums , I'm over here in West Mi, land of the tulips and windmill. The primary level should be at the bottom of the clutch diaphragm spring with the "bike level and not on the jiffy spring. The 26 ozs. is correct too much fluid can cause problems with finding neutral or clutch problems. Are you checking through the chain inspection plate or the 5 fastener "derby cover, I would think if you added a qt. and pulled the derby cover some would dribble out. If the service manual is something other than HD sometimes they leave things out. Create a little "go to" notebook for things to remember, i.e. tire sizes, battery size, etc.

I've got a 02 Super Glide that I've had since 02.

Thanks for the reply. I’m using a Clymer manual. I also filled and checked thru the derby cover.

I also have the bike level, not on the side stand. When I put it on the side stand the fluid level is right where it’s supposed to be.

The FSM states when it is "Visible"

"The primary chaincase lubricant level is acceptable when lubricant is visible between the clutch and the inner wall of the chaincase with the motorcycle standing upright."

Don`t go looking for 99887-84 Primary Chain Case Lubricant. Long gone...Replaced by Formula +

Another view of the primary lube level:

Thanks for the visual there multihddr, For HD Donk, do have the small plug in the bottom of your case? If so, if you screw it in too far you could start making small cracks around the hole.
